Tell us a little bit about yourself, your education, you first job maybe, and how did you start photography?

• I took up AB – Multimedia Arts in De la Salle-College of Saint Benilde

• My first job,. . I worked as a lightman, PA, runner, “boy” in my father’s studio/office,“utusan” to make it short hehe I was 17 yrs old that time. Then eventually become a photographer when I was 18 or 19 yrs old. I started at P150 as a lightman/PA per wedding. Then nung naging photographer ako I started P800 per wedding. Mahirap matuto ng photography noon kasi limited ang resources to learn, I bought pirated video tutorials, searched photography websites, attended workshops etc…

Then ayun tuloy tuloy na. I started my own photography business, joined competitions local and international, and because of my passion, dedication, determination and the help of family and friends and prayers sympre nakuha ko lahat ng ito:

What do you love most about what you do?

• I enjoy shooting couples
• I get to travel for free 🙂
• I love sceneries
• I like photo editing

What is your favorite camera and lens? Could you tell us a bit about the equipment you use?

Im using fujifilm cameras and lenses, mirrorless, compact ang sarap dalhin hehe, mas madali gumalaw and madali ma-achieve yung mahihirap na angles, unlike noon ang bibigat ng camera and lenses =P

Name an interesting place you’ve ever photographed? Travel destination? Favorite road trip perhaps?

hmmm… madami e NewZealand, Korea, Japan, NewYork, Alberta Canada too many to mention hehe pero beaches the best pa rin Philippines for me =)

What music do you like to listen when you edit images? And can you name artists?

depende sa mood ko hehe. . . OPM, alternative rock, pop rock, alternative R&B, Indie-pop, synth-pop, dream-pop

What is your dream photo shoot, dream photo assignment?

A Pre-wedding shoot in Holy Land!

YES syempre, more than a decade na ako photographer! kailangan maging passionate ako lagi, no excuse! kailangan mabuhay ang pamilya! haha

movies, video games, boxing, traveling

What advice would you give to someone starting out?

• Keep the fire burning!

• And If you will make a living from photography, invest more time and money in marketing. Kahit gaano ka kagaling kung hindi ka nman kilala, wla din.

• Professionalism

• Follow trends, appreciate new things

• Experience is the best teacher

• Wag masyado mayabang! May mas magaling sayo! Be humble 🙂

Any photography project or discipline would you like to do after the enhanced community quarantine?

I would like to focus more in marketing my photography business.
